PEPSI MUSEUM UPDATES

March 2025 - Pepsi Museum Updates - information shared at Pepsi Fest

Ms. Jill Thompson, Bradham's Legacy, Project Manager joined the PCCC Annual Meeting via Zoom to share what information she is permitted to share regarding the status of the Pepsi Museum, which is now the Pepsi Experience.

The project is moving along at a slow but steady pace.  The project is now in designing the new building, determining the costs for the new building, and then securing the resources to make this project and building the best that it can be.

Ms. Thompson fielded questions from members and shared that individual financial supporters and the club will be represented in the space, how that will look has not yet been decided as the design has not gotten to that stage, but it will most definitely be included.  The current bank building is not sufficient for the new plans, and it will be torn down, but the lot is being used for the Pepsi Experience Building.   The project will honor the old history, but also include interactive and modern touches that will be relevant to the times and to the future.  Due to the planning process and nothing yet finalized there is not much information that can be shared as they do not want expectations for one thing, only for something else to happen.   As the project progresses, information will be shared, such as a official announcements, groundbreaking and their official Bradham's Legacy fund raising campaign.

September 2024 - Pepsi Museum Updates by Jerry Avery

As of this writing, the additions to the nonprofit (Bradham’s Legacy) include a Project Manager and a small staff to conduct the daily business of the nonprofit along with its set goals
This is now a dynamic project that is continuously growing, it requires daily attention to continue the path to completion.
Along with a building and land purchase, there is now a design company and an architectural firm solidified for the project.
The design firm chosen has much experience in the museum sector. Specializing in educational and interactive display spaces that span not only the United States but other countries. Google, Harley Davidson, the National Museum of American History, and the Smithsonian in Washington, DC to name a few.
Bradham’s Legacy put in the work to not only select a design firm but actually put boots on the ground around the country to see the exhibit spaces they created. This allowed for a more comprehensive selection of the design company tasked with providing the visitors of the museum a wonderful finished product.
The architectural firm selected also has museum and commercial experience and will compliment the design company by building what will become a place of experiences and memories for many years to come.
This is not an easy project at any step in the process, it will take many hours of hard work to get to the final product.
From information gathering to fundraising to design, and finally, to construction will be complicated simply because of the hurdles associated with building commercial space in the year 2024 and beyond.
Safety of the people visiting the museum, along with safety and security of the artifacts on display is of utmost importance… Please be patient as this process continues.
As a board member representing the Eastern District of the club I have made it my mission to do two things:
First, to represent the Pepsi Cola Collector’s Club, by not allowing the museum project to forget we are here as club member supporters of the project.
Secondly, to keep the project alive within the club, by reminding each of you that we must support this endeavor both mentally and physically.
It’s easy to support a cause if we compliment it and show excitement for the project. But as I’ve told many, we now have to put our money where our mouth’s are by contributing funds to the project to help it along to final completion… This project will take $20 Million plus to get to the finish line… Aggressive fundraising is in full swing and the club has been asked to contribute…
As a club, we feel that a $25,000 dollar goal is reasonable and prudent…
If you have donated, through a pledge as of this post, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
If you haven’t made a pledge thus far, I encourage you to do so through the link provided in the last issue of the PCCC Express or on the website.
The project manager ends each email she sends out with this message to all involved by sharing a quote from “The Real Pepsi Challenge” by Frank Wu…
And yes, the Pepsi Cola Collector’s Club is now very much a part of that involvement…

“The Goal Is To Participate In Something Larger Than Yourself And Continue To Invite Others To Participate…”
